Cherry 4/4, 8/4, 16/4
Generally
straight grained with a fairly uniform texture and a rich luster. Light to
dark reddish brown heartwood and narrow, nearly white sapwood. Highly prized
for cabinets, furniture, carving, and turnery. Also used for paneling,
decorative veneer, architectural woodwork, caskets, woodenware, novelties,
musical instruments, gun stocks, handles, and toys.
Walnut 4/4, 8/4, 16/4
Generally straight grained with a moderately coarse, uniform texture. Rich
dark brown heartwood and nearly white sapwood. Prized in North America for
high-end cabinetry and furniture. Ideal for gun stocks due to dimensional
stability and ability to absorb recoil. Also used for decorative panels and
veneer, interior joinery, novelties, carving, turnery, boat building,
clockcases, and musical instruments.
White
Oak 4/4, 8/4, 16/4
Straight grained with a
medium-coarse to coarse texture. Light tannish heartwood with narrow, nearly
white sapwood. Uses include outdoor furniture, boats, cooperage, flooring,
interior furniture - especially chairs and tables, turnery, baskets, trim,
millwork, and veneers.
Red
Oak 4/4, 8/4, 16/4
Straight grained with a
coarse texture and prominent rays. Light reddish tan heartwood and narrow,
almost white sapwood. Used for cabinets, furniture, millwork, musical
instruments, plywood, flooring, turnery, boxes, caskets, pallets, heavy
construction, and many other applications.
Moisture
All our lumber is kiln dried to a moisture content of 6%. This
decreases the chance of wood movement for your project.
